Frequently Asked Questions

Bloomberg’s London HQ is regarded as a landmark project thanks to its remarkable 98.5% BREEAM design-stage score - the highest ever recorded by a major office development.

As well as being a sustainability icon within construction, the Bloomberg building cleverly achieves a superior operational performance despite its heritage constraints.

It is now widely considered to be a defining example of how large commercial buildings can push whole-life carbon performance beyond standard best practice.

Tate supplied the project with 37,000 sq metres of its market-leading RMG600 raised access flooring and 34,000 sq metres of Italian oak Attiro magnetic-backed wood finish.

This creates both a high-quality, design-led finish, while also allowing engineers easy/rapid access to the underfloor void to allow them to check and maintain essential building services.

The Attiro finishing reflects the interior’s clean, open-plan aesthetic, extending around the signature central ramp which provides easy access to each of the floors.
