Redefining the Future of Work and Hospitality: 42 Honeysuckle Drive, Newcastle
Project Overview
The development of 42 Honeysuckle Drive in Newcastle represents a significant leap forward in integrating commercial and hospitality spaces. Initiated in 2023 and completed in early 2024, this project reflects a trend toward blending functional office environments with luxurious hotel amenities.
DOMA, one of Australia’s largest private developers, led this innovative development. Spanning multiple stories from levels 3 to 8, the development seamlessly incorporates Ausgrid's commercial office spaces alongside the award-winning Little National hotel brand. The project also includes retail outlets and car parking facilities, creating a vertical precinct designed for convenience and collaboration.
Design and Functionality
The commercial floors showcase the superior performance of Tate’s raised access flooring solutions. Our ICSF ConCore 800 Raised Access Floor was integral to achieving the functional and adaptable office environment required for this cutting-edge development. Installed throughout levels 3 to 8, tour panels are designed to support a robust point load of 3.5kN (360kg per panel), ensuring unparalleled durability and flexibility for tenant fit-outs.
Future Impact
With its forward-thinking design, 42 Honeysuckle Drive highlights the growing importance of flexible, mixed-use developments in Australia. Newcastle’s Little National hotel, the third in Australia, embodies DOMA’s vision of combining luxurious hospitality with practical workspaces, a concept expected to become more prevalent worldwide.
