Our Role

Tate was selected to support the tower’s vision for a future-ready, adaptable, and high-performance workspace environment. Across multiple floors of Tower 2, we supplied advanced raised access flooring solutions designed to meet stringent performance, flexibility, and sustainability requirements.

Flooring Systems Installed

  • ConCore® 800 (3.5 kN) – Bare Finish
A highly durable and versatile system, selected for its structural reliability and adaptability in evolving office layouts.

  • ConCore® 1250 (5.6 kN) – High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) Finish
Engineered for heavy-duty zones, this system provides exceptional strength, long-term performance, and a premium surface finish suitable for high-traffic environments.

Together, these systems deliver a robust and flexible platform for workplace technologies, building services, and future spatial reconfiguration—ensuring the tower remains resilient and functional well into the future.

Sustainability & Wellness at the Core

Melbourne Quarter Tower was designed with a strong commitment to environmental performance and occupant wellbeing. Achieving a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built rating, the project reflects Lendlease’s sustainability leadership and the architect’s aspiration for a healthier, more connected workplace experience.

Tate’s raised access flooring systems contribute to:

  • Efficient building services integration

  • Improved airflow management

  • Design flexibility over the building lifecycle

  • Reduced material waste during refurbishment

These advantages align strongly with the project’s broader sustainability goals and long-term operational efficiency.

Project Outcome

Melbourne Quarter Tower stands today as a benchmark for sustainable, innovative office development in Australia. Tate’s flooring solutions helped deliver a workplace that is adaptable, future-proof, and engineered for high performance—supporting thousands of workers in one of Melbourne’s most dynamic commercial hubs.
