General Information
We recommend using standard High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) tile for data centers, server rooms, and other facilities requiring static protection for computer equipment.
Yes. Codes vary by geographic location and building type, these requirements must be evaluated by a local electrical contractor.
All our ConCore panels and Airflow options have an ASTM E84 Class A certification.
Please refer to the storage instructions on the packaging or in the installation manual.
The bottom track of a metal stud wall can be fastened to the floor panels with self-drilling metal stud framing screws, which need only to penetrate the panel top sheets. One screw per foot is the typical frequency of attachment.
Walls are typically built on top of our access floors by screwing the drywall track through the top of the access floor panel.
By using the space under the access floor for HVAC, electrical, data and plumbing you can eliminate or reduce the dependency on the overhead space, allowing for buildings to potentially have higher ceiling heights on a typical project.
Yes, Tate offers both ramps and stairs and we can send details on how that is built and with which products
We offer many finishes both laminated and free-lay such as wood, porcelain, terrazzo, HPL, LVT, Rubber, etc.
Yes, Tate offers an interlocking field applied freelay finish with a seam sealer that creates a watertight solution.
A bolted stringer system is used for factory laminated panels, if your finished floor height is over 24”, and if your panel grade is a ConCore 2000 or above.
All of the Tate understructure and systems are adjustable by 1” upwards or downwards in finished floor height, giving the contactor the ability to create a level finished floor for the end user.
Our panels are cut on site very easily to accommodate any perimeter condition or objects that penetrate the floor using our perimeter pedestals.
There are a variety of mounting options for equipment including through-bolts, Unistrut, mounting to the slab, and creating isolated mounting pads. Reach out to Technical Services for detail drawings.
No, any carpet tile or carpet plank can be used with our system. The PosiTile option adds the PosiTile buttons that make installation / replacement easier later.
You would need to contact Customer Service or Technical Services to ensure it can be factory laminated.
No, there are many areas to offset the cost of the system, such as savings in the power, data, HVAC, ceiling and floor treatment, and reduction in slab-to-slab height.
Tate sells through a dealer network; all orders must go through your Local Dealer.
Yes. We have a code compliance research report (CCRR) that complies with the requirements of the Internation Building Code.
ConCore, All-Steel, and Perf 1250 panels are painted with epoxy paint. We use an electrodeposition coating process which fully covers the edges of the panels. Some of our airflow panels are finished with a powdercoat paint.
We can meet a wide range of floor heights from 2-7/8” all the way up to 72”. Contact Technical Services for all other heights.
Eliminating HVAC, power and data cabling overhead and running it underneath, can help contribute to higher ceiling heights in buildings.
Traditional raised floors have pedestals which can adjust to keep the floor level even when the slab is not making them ideal for retrofit applications. Traditional raised floors also carry significantly stronger load performance characteristics than the fixed height or cable floors.
We do not offer a stamped calculations but can give you a recommendation based on parameters that are in your structural notes in your job packet. As needed, we can connect your team with a 3rd party structural engineer, who is familiar with our raised access floor products, to obtain signed and stamped engineering drawings or calculations.
Yes, we do recommend reinforcing a cut panel with extra support. Published load ratings for our panels do not apply to cut panels either.

Sustainability
Yes, we can assist in the LEED certification for projects that include Tate’s products. Sustainability information can be download for our website at www.tateglobal.com/amer/sustainability. Or you can email our technical team at info@tateinc.com with your inquiry.
An Environmental Product Declaration verifies the amount of embodied carbon dioxide emissions (CO2e) relating to a specific product. By having more transparent documentation, we can disclose the relative impact of our products and thus make improvements to our processes and material choices.
Yes! As part of Kingspan Group we have established our Planet Passionate Program to achieve net-zero carbon manufacturing emissions, zero waste to landfill, and 60% direct renewable energy use, all by 2030.
